A special feature in the field of these transmissions are the hydrostatic variable speed drives from Var-Spe. Both a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor, including an oil tank and overload valves, are installed in the housing. With these gears from VAR-SPE, the adjustment is made using many different adjusting devices, such as using a handwheel, electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically. The adjustment range is always between 1400-0-1400 rpm, ie the direction of rotation is reversed in the gearbox itself. The polarity of the electric motor is not reversed.
Var-Spe gearboxes use oil to take advantage of hydraulics. This means that with a high breakaway torque, the internal pressure increases to such an extent that the output shaft "tears loose" the drive. Depending on the type, the maximum engine output is between 0.37 and 22.0 kW. Hydrostatic variable speed drives are ideal for use in explosion-proof areas, as all parts run in an oil bath and there is no mechanical friction. The possible generation of sparks due to friction therefore does not occur.

Our planetary variable speed gears have an adjustment range of 1:5 and are able to adjust the output speed in the range of approx. 200...1000 rpm. It is possible to carry out the adjustment manually using an adjustment hand wheel or electrically, for example using an electric motor. We would be happy to install an electric motor suitable for your application on the gearbox in our in-house assembly department. The maximum engine power that can be attached is 7.50 kW. There is also the option of having the planetary variable speed drive with a speed display in the hand wheel. B5 input and output flanges are also available for the gearboxes. Together with a mounted gear, such as a worm gear, there are a large number of possible applications in the industrial sector.
The mechanical adjustment gears are filled with lubricant on delivery. If the installation position is not specified, the gearbox will be filled with oil for horizontal installation. An oil change should be carried out after the first 100 operating hours and after every 1,000 hours.
